Welcome to McCaslin Park Sports Complex

A premier destination for leagues, tournaments, rentals, and community fun, McCaslin Park Sports Complex is one of the most active and versatile outdoor sports venues in the region. Designed to host everything from competitive baseball and softball tournaments to casual family outings, this multi-use complex brings together top-tier fields, amenities, and entertainment—all in one place.

Tournament-Ready Fields & League Play

At the heart of the complex are four lighted baseball and softball diamonds, featuring artificial turf infields, bleacher seating, and professional-level field layouts. McCaslin Park is home to:

Youth and adult baseball and softball leagues
Large-scale tournaments and special events
Cup-in-Hand leagues
Youth camps and training programs
Field rentals for regional baseball and softball affiliates and associations

With lighting, durable turf, and ample space, the complex is built to handle full days of play—from early morning warm-ups to evening championship games.

Fuel Up at Home Plate Concessions

Game day doesn’t stop at the fence. Home Plate Concessions serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with grilling during peak play times. Shaded seating makes it easy for players, families, and spectators to relax, refuel, and enjoy the atmosphere between games.

More Than the Game

McCaslin Park is designed for everyone—not just athletes.

A paved walking and biking trail loops the fields and connects to neighboring trail systems.

A large playground, splash pad, and Bankshot basketball court provide fun for all ages. Sand volleyball court and large shelter may be rented.

Coyote Crossing Mini Golf adds a family-friendly attraction right on site. The mini-golf course also features an outdoor shelter available for rent, making it a popular spot for birthday parties, group outings, and special events.

Home to the American Cricket Conference, the cricket field offers shaded bleacher seating and sits alongside the ball fields and mini golf course.

Park Rules

No firearms
No smoking – no tobacco products, to include vapor, e-cigarettes, etc.
No alcohol in the park, in the parking lot, or at the adjacent church complex – unless sold on-site by our vendor
No metal cleats (they rip up the turf)
No shelled products (sunflower seeds, peanuts, etc).
No colored liquid (Gatorade, Powerade, etc.) on the fields
No gum or tobacco chewing in the dugouts or on the field

This is your community ballpark, and all participants should take pride in these fields and facility. Maintaining the turf infields and the whole complex is important to its continued use for many years. Share a copy of these rules with your players, parents and any spectators coming to McCaslin Park this upcoming season, and help to take care of your park.

Summer Splash Pad Fun

The Splash Pad Open June (6/1) through Labor Day

Our colorful splash pad keeps the kids cool. A foot button is pressed to turn on the water that sprays from a frog feature and from tall flower dumping buckets.

Thursdays & Fridays 11am-6pm
Saturdays & Sundays 1-6pm

Coyote Crossing Mini Golf

Coyote Crossing is a railroad-themed 18-hole mini golf course located within McCaslin Park and home to Cody Coyote. Golf uphill, downhill around ponds, rocks, and other obstacles. A covered outdoor picnic pavilion with seating for up to 32 is available and can be rented for corporate or group outings and private parties.

Coyote Crossing is open daily all summer long and hosts many events, daily specials and theme days, such as Cosmic Golf Nights, Pup & Putt, 80’s Glow Golf and more. Adults can enjoy a mini golf league. Cody Coyote makes an appearance during some events and parties. The mini golf course is located at the south entrance of McCaslin Park.

Rent a Picnic Shelter

Celebrate birthdays, graduations, reunions or other events in the great outdoors! Picnic shelters are available to reserve April-October. The McCaslin Park picnic shelter is located at the east end of the park. The shelter can hold up to 75 people. It contains 8 tables. Flush toilets (seasonal) are in the ball field complex. Features close to the shelter include sand volleyball, playground, splash pad (seasonal), Bankshot basketball court, bags, chess/checker table and grill. So don’t forget your volleyballs, basketballs, bags for baggo, checkers or chess pieces!

Bankshot™ basketball is a challenging game of making baskets by “banking” shots off of tilted or irregularly shaped backboards. Grab your basketball and come out to try this colorful, trick-shot course!

The OSLAD Grant Program

McCaslin Park opened in 2002 and quickly became a cornerstone for sports and recreation in Carol Stream. A $3.5 million redevelopment in 2010—funded through the community’s referendum and an OSLAD Grant administered by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources—supported major park improvements, with final enhancements completed in 2015. The OSLAD Grant Program is a matching state program that helps fund the development of public open space and has supported multiple projects within the Carol Stream Park District. Most recently, the park’s artificial turf fields were updated in 2024, extending the life of the complex and supporting continued recreational and tournament use.
