Coaches

Coaching

Coaches are expected to create a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all players. Dodgeball can be fast-paced and emotional, and coaches play a key role in teaching athletes how to handle competition with good sportsmanship, respect for others, and emotional control.

This league is built on the honor system, and coaches are responsible for teaching players to play honestly by calling themselves out when appropriate and respecting the rules. Coaches should model and encourage values learned through sports, placing fair play and player development above winning.

Responsibility

Team Captains are responsible for their team before, during, and after all games. Captains should instruct players to report directly to the gym and remain there until the game concludes. Captains are responsible for remaining at the game site until the last player has been picked up.
