Youth Softball Leagues

Spring Softball
Our Spring Youth Softball League offers divisions for ages 6-15 (8U–14U) with 16 games scheduled and a minimum of 12 guaranteed, weather permitting. Teams practice and play two to three times per week on weeknights and weekends, beginning in early April and wrapping up in late June or mid-July depending on rainouts. All levels participate in an inter-village league that includes nearby communities, with home games played in Carol Stream. The season features special events such as Opening Day, Picture Day, All-Star Games, and family outings with the Boomers and White Sox. Registration includes a full team uniform with pants, visor, and jersey.

Fall Softball
The Fall Youth Softball League runs from mid-August through late October and includes teams from neighboring towns such as Streamwood, Roselle, Bloomingdale, and Glendale Heights. Each team plays an eight-game regular season, with one to two games per week on weeknights and weekends. Fall registration includes a team T-shirt and visor, and occasional makeup or practice games may be held on Sundays.

Coaches

Coaching

Coaches may revoke playing time for participants that have missed an excess of practice time or are disciplinary problems. Before revoking playing time, the coach must inform Carol Stream Park District staff and the player’s parents prior to the game.

Responsibility

Coaches are responsible for their team before, during, and after all games and practices. Coaches should instruct players to report directly to the gym and remain there until the conclusion of the game of practice. Coaches are responsible for remaining at the practice or game site until the last player has been picked up.
